It is with a profound sense of responsibility and optimism that I reach out to you through this digital portal. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has long stood as a beacon of academic excellence and holistic development in the landscape of Indian education. Within our vibrant Region, spanning the culturally rich and geographically diverse terrains of West Bengal and Sikkim, 64 Kendriya Vidyalayas work tirelessly to nurture the leaders of tomorrow. Education is not a solitary pursuit; it is a collaborative voyage. As we navigate the evolving paradigms of the 21st century, our success hinges upon our collective efforts. I call upon every stakeholder—our dedicated educators, supportive parents, and industrious students—to unite with a shared synergy. Together, we must foster an environment where curiosity is ignited, character is built, and potential is fully realized. To guide our journey ahead, we are anchoring our institutional goals on four critical pillars: • Robust Implementation of NEP 2020: By integrating multilingualism, mathematical thinking, and 21st-century skills into our daily classrooms, our region is fully committed to shifting the pedagogical paradigm from rote memorization to competency-based, experiential learning. • The Vanguard of Innovation – PM SHRI Schools: PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalayas are being nurtured as exemplar schools, showcasing the full spectrum of the NEP 2020. With eco-friendly campuses, cutting-edge smart classrooms, and modern labs, these schools will mentor and uplift the entire educational ecosystem of the region. • Infrastructural and Academic Resurgence: We are committed towards progressively upgrading the physical and digital infrastructure across all 64 Vidyalayas. Parallelly, robust continuous professional development programs are being executed to empower our faculty with advanced pedagogical tools, ensuring our academic delivery remains unparalleled. • Elevating Academic and Co-Curricular Benchmarks: Besides achieving quantitative and qualitative enhancement in our board results, we aspire to see our students scale new heights in sports, arts, science exhibitions, and youth parliaments and other activities, striking a perfect equilibrium between scholastic rigor and co-curricular brilliance. "Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man." Guided by this timeless philosophy, let us pledge to transform our Vidyalayas into sanctuaries of purposeful learning and innovation. Jai Hind. Welcome to Kendriya Vidyalaya, NTPC, Farakka one of the most prestigious Educational Institution of Farakka, in the City of West Bengal, India. This centre of excellence which was first established in 1981. The Vidyalaya imparts education from class I to XII, with Science and Humanities stream at +2 level with one sections in each class. The aim of the school is to provide unmatched qualitative education par excellence: to develop the best that is latent in children and to encourage the child to explore and revel in the joy of learning. The endeavour is to retain smiles on the faces of the children, channelize the energies of youthfulness while sensing the beautiful connectivity between the heart, character, nation and the world. The mind and the spirit of the child has to be awakened to look for, search and learn whatever is new to him. The curricula are linked from the pre-primary level and is closely monitored providing the best opportunity for students to develop academic skills and gradually expand knowledge. Educational technology has permeated all areas of life. Our endeavour is to integrate technology and its range of application 'throughout the classroom' in an attempt to improve the quality of learning instruction. Modern teaching strategies, provision of student enrichment unit, recognition of various student learning styles and culture of academic support create a special learning community at our School. Globalization and increasing diversity in man's needs has generated an enhanced demand for competitive skills, and here at our School, our purpose is to provide the forum where such needs shall be fulfilled. Our focus is to train children to become autonomous learners. Our earnest effort is to provide students with an education that allows them to recognize and realize their 'dreams' and skills and to be able to ignite the passion to excel. Students will be given an environment wherein their attributes and strengths can be given a fillip, their creativity developed and spontaneity nurtured. They develop into adults endowed with analytical and logical thinking, a mind that is curious and inquisitive and a sensitivity that makes them humane in thought, word and deed. This Vidyalaya has a strength of nearly 500+ students and 32 staff on rolls and has all along been striving to achieve academic excellence and development in the total personality of the students. It has moulded many Teachers, Scientists, Technocrats, Doctors, Engineers, Teachers and Administrators who occupy enviable positions in various walks of life. Discover how we mould the citizens of tomorrow. Sh. MUNEDRA PRAKASH NAITHANI Principal
